Testimonials

I started training with Jake and the IEP team in 2023 and initially knew their approach to movement, training and performance was on a whole different level. No one in the LE or Mil training world was addressing this critical need in the way they do. The IEP team has the education, experience and individual hard skills to enhance any individual or departments training program. The practical performance based approach is something I support 100%. The way they address not only performance but combine it with individual hard skills is something that anyone can benefit from. I’ve been using their methods and programming in my own training and am extremely happy with the improvements I continue to make.

Matt Pranka

Xray Alpha LLC

I’ve trained with hundreds of instructors from all over the world, seen what they bring to the table, and while there are many good ones, Jake and the crew from IEP have truly found a niche that was lacking and filled it with solid knowledge. Despite being at the pinnacle of their craft, they’re still pushing their own growth and constantly evolving new ideas, drills, and training strategies... Plus, they’re just good dudes.

Joe Farewell

Instructor/Professional Shooter

Even having been athletic all my life and playing on a nationally ranked college lacrosse team, there were still many valuable pointers, tips, and lessons to be learned while working with Jake at In Extremis Performance. Regardless of your previous athletic experience, it’s well worth attending a course and tapping into their expertise on the topic of movement with a rifle or handgun.

Mike Pannone

CTT-Solutions LLC

IEP provides a unique framework for firearms and tactical mobility training. Their top notch instructors are able to effectively and efficiently show the correlation between efficient movement and effective firearm performance. I highly recommend this training to all law enforcement officers.

Dan Colasanto

Persident, TTPOA

Jake has been working diligently to bring the training industry something it’s never seen before and it’s very interesting. Instead of a shooting coach that can move, he’s a movement coach that can shoot. And I love it.

Mark Smith

JBS Training Solutions

The guys at In Extremis Performance understand efficiency and movement from a high level. If you are serious about improving your skill set with not only shooting, but in any athletic endeavor. I highly recommend training with In Extremis Performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Want to get started but have a few questions?

Who is this coaching for?

This coaching is for people who want a long-term, sustainable approach to fitness, nutrition, and consistency.
It’s best for those who value structure, guidance, and accountability and are ready to be coached.

Is this coaching only for beginners?

No. Most clients have trained before but feel stuck, inconsistent, or unsure how to progress without pain or burnout.

Do I need to work out a certain number of days per week?

No fixed requirement. Your plan is built around your schedule, experience, and recovery capacity. Consistency matters more than volume.

Do you provide meal plans?

No rigid meal plans. Nutrition coaching focuses on habits, education, and structure you can maintain long term.

How is this different from a program or app?

Programs provide instructions. Coaching provides guidance. Your training, nutrition, and support are adjusted continuously based on your progress and real life demands.

Is this fully online?

I work with a limited number of clients across in-person, online, and hybrid coaching. In-person and hybrid clients also receive support outside of scheduled sessions, with access to guidance, feedback, and additional resources beyond the gym.

Online coaching is delivered remotely, making it accessible nationwide.

What does limited client capacity mean for my support?

I intentionally work with a limited number of clients so I can provide higher-level support and attention.

This allows for:
• Faster response times when questions come up
• More detailed feedback on training and form
• Ongoing adjustments to programming and nutrition
• Extra check-ins during high-stress or busy periods
• Support outside of scheduled sessions when needed

Rather than following a fixed plan, your coaching adapts in real time as your life, schedule, and goals change.

How long do clients typically work with you?

This is not a short-term program. Most clients commit for 6 - 24 months to build habits, confidence, and sustainable results.

What if I have past injuries or pain?

Your training is built around your history, limitations, and movement quality. Exercises and volume are adjusted to support progress without unnecessary strain.

What happens after I apply?

If your application looks like a good fit, you’ll be invited to a short call.
That conversation helps determine whether coaching is the right next step for both of us.

Is there a guarantee?

Results depend on consistency and effort. Coaching provides structure, support, and guidance. You bring the follow-through.
